I was privileged to be part of Gene and Gerri's work at Bear Trap the first summer, and remember Gene taking time with me to sing "Oh, the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus" while he played the piano. He was one of the finest, most gentle, and wisest Christians I have had the privilege to know, but certainly no wimp!
