In the years 1953-1955 I was a student at the University of Wyoming. On some evening during that time a group of us involved with Inter Varsity Fellowship travelled to Ft. Collins to the home of Gene and Gerri Thomas. I remember the warm welcome there and the challenging talk Gene gave to us. Our IV sponsors were Gordon and Jan Robertstad. I think Gene and Gerri were IV sponsors at Colorado State University (at that time Colorado A & M), but Gene may have had regional IV responsibilities. Three or four years ago I recognized Gene and Gerry in the foyer of First Presbyterian Church and introduced myself to them and told them of my good remembrances of being in their home. Thereafter, we often saw them and talked with them at “The Egg & I” restaurant at after-church lunch. He will be missed. John E. Sparks Boulder, CO
