Gene loved people, especially people who didn't or couldn't return love. I was one of those; during the 70s, I often would show up at Gene's office and just cry. Gene didn't and couldn't make it all better for me, but I knew that he cared. Many years later when God finally got a hold of me for good, much of what I heard and learned from Gene came back and finally made sense. I would die a happy man if I could be a tenth or even a hundredth of the man Gene was. Will Arthur
