I was fortunate enough to spend two summers in Boulder during the late 80s as a Stanford undergrad. Gene infected me with a love of the parables that hasn't left--I'm currently going through them with addicts in recovery (sound familiar) and often think of Gene and the way he used to bring them to life. Gene taught with clarity and modeled a devotion to Jesus that impacted me in my formative years. I know I am one of many who live with an obedience and love of Jesus thanks to him. Peace and comfort to Geri, Family and friends. I can only imagine how long a yarn Gene could spin in a place where there are no time limitations.
